They say smell is the sense most closely tied to memory, so let's hope you're ready for an unforgettable 30 days! Get ready for Metro to be the most memorable part of your day as we launch "30 Days of Scent" Each of our downtown stations will feature a signature smell throughout the duration. The smells include your classics like Mint and Lavender, but we've also thrown in some obscure scents you might not be able to identify right away. For the few stations that have HVAC equipment, the odors will be distributed through the air system. For the majority of our stations with no ventilation, the fragrance will be applied to the escalator vent grills, and applied to the tunnel walls. It's not just the stations that are getting in on the act, one train on the blue line will even have scratch-and-sniff seats installed. Guess which train and you could win a Metro t-shirt!
